Dancer

Claire Kendall began her dance training in her hometown of Santa Fe, NM at the School of Aspen Santa Fe Ballet. She attended high school at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts as a Ballet Concentration and went on to receive her BFA in Dance Performance from SUNY Purchase College. While at Purchase, she was selected to study abroad at the Korea National University of Art in Seoul, South Korea, where she focused on Choreography and Dance Performance. As a professional dancer, she has worked with the Merce Cunningham Trust, Meow Wolf, Cindy Brandle Dance Company, Nosilla Dance Project, Symbiosis Arts, T2 Dance Company, and Hannah Kahn Dance Company.

Since her choreographic debut in 2015, Claire has premiered numerous creations in New York, Seoul, and Colorado. In 2019, she formed Colorado’s first environmental contemporary dance company, Claire Kendall Creative Projects, as a platform for her work.

Environmental Artist

Claire was first exposed to the world of Environmental Art while studying at Colorado College in 2016. She has since created several Environmental Art projects with a variety of collaborators; including musicians, photographers, animators, videographers, and fellow dancers.

Site-Specific Dance exploring the importance of Keystone Species created for the event Earth Day NYC 2017 in Union Square hosted by Earth Day Initiative. Later performed on Purchase College Campus for SUNY Purchase Earth Week 2017 with live music by Saul Cosme.
